This is the Krakow and Aushwitz trip.
This is Auswitz 2 where they brought everyone
to make it seem like a peaceful family camp.
However, they did start killing here in mass
quantities after 1941.

This is Auswitz 1 where about five thousand
people died every single day.

These poles don't look very scary, but if you
complained they used these as torture devices.
They would tie your wrists behind your back
with barbed wire and hang you by that wire
from a small hook on these poles.

The shoes, and this is only one of many showcases.

The spectacles.
The zyklon B gas canisters.

TO BERLIN

Thursday March 18, 2010

I've got class in a few minutes, and then some of the guys and i are going to the grocery store and bed early to get ready for tommorow. The bus to berlin leaves at two o clock. We rented a really cheap apartment for the weekend it's gonna be like 20 euro for the whole weekend for me. I'm looking forward to seeing the wall and many other things. If any body has some recommendations that would be great.

So, seven of us went to amsterdam on wednesday and just got back today (Sunday). It was a great trip, and a very pleasant city with the canals and the biking and all. The third day we rented bikes and rode around all day that was my favorite memory. I also went to the van gogh museum that day with a couple of the guys, which was really interesting. Here's some pictures I took.

This is cropped statue of Rembrandt.

Train Station. That was a cool part of the trip.
